Why porn should not be banned?

India is an incredible country indeed. India has grown substantially in past years. However, even though there is lots of progress and change in lifestyles, the word sex is still a taboo in India. In fact, the couples used to feel discomfort in using the word sex with their partners. The word sex is usually limited to media either it would a movie or the news related to rape cases and last but not the least pornography.

Pornography is basically an erotic act to arouse sexual intents. It is the representation of the sexual act not the act itself. It means porn is a movie shoot by the porn stars with a script given to them. Hence, live sex shows or strip shows cannot be considered as porn. Do you understand the difference?

Now a days, the news flaming like a forest fire is that government is planning to ban the porn although it has been canceled now but in case someone again thought to do so is definitely mistaken. The reasons why porn should not be banned are:

Porns are not degrading feminism, people do

Usually people criticize porn by saying that porns are degrading feminism and portray females as a sex object. Porns are responsible for destroying relationships. I think the problem in this picture is not the porn but the person who considers his partner as a porn star and not respect the individual’s capabilities. And if such relations are broken. Ladies!! You don’t deserve to live with them either.

Porn does not provokes rape

I agree rape cases is a huge dark spot on India. People generally implies porn is the reason for growing rape cases and hence porn should be banned, people please get a life and take the bullshit out of your minds. Now those who think girls provoke rape, would they ban girls in the four walls of home. Guys please grow up and instead of destructive solutions try to think some of the constructive solutions to vanish the rape cases. Instead of banning porn, government should focus to reform stringent laws for the guilty. Statically, porn is watched more in other counties where rapes cases are lesser as compared to India.

Difficult to block

Apart from physiological constraints, porn industry has grown to a multi-billion industry. It has thousands of websites, channels and growing every day. In today’s age of technological advancement, accessing porn is very easy and is widely available. It is very difficult to block all of them. In fact I think the ban on porn stuff will increase the urge to see more of it. After all its human nature, we tend towards the things difficult to get.

That is what my perception towards the ban of porn. I think ban on porn is breaking the law of liberty from constitution and instead of banning such things due to vague comments, government should focus on the constructive and new laws to cater above mentioned issues. The idea of government should be to guide youth about what to do instead of compelling what not to do!!
